Judith Light

Judith Light (born February 9, 1949 in Trenton (New Jersey) as Ellen Judith Light) is an American actress. She became famous in German-speaking mainly for her role as Angela Bower in the series "Who's the Boss?".

Biography

Light was born as the daughter of Benjamin light furniture dealer in Trenton (U.S. state of New Jersey). In 1971 she completed her studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. From 1977 she first played for several years in the soap opera "Love Life to Live" (original title: "One Life to Live"), the role of Karen Wolek. The Light Part brought two Emmys and helped it to great popularity in the U.S. . In her role at first she was a housewife who finally began out of boredom, work as prostitutes. She also had guest appearances in other television series as "Kojak - Einsatz in Manhattan" and "Remington Steele".

Due to their success and renown Judith Light was founded in 1984, the female lead in the sitcom "Who's the Boss?" Offer, which they believed. She then played Angela Bower, director of an advertising agency and a single mother of a son (Danny Pintauro), which is looking for a housekeeper, and thereby meets Toni Micelli (Tony Danza) who accepts the job and together with his teenage daughter Samantha (Alyssa Milano) with her collects.

1985 Light married her colleague, Robert Desiderio, whom she knew already from "Love Life to Live." After the end of "Who's the Boss?" In 1992 she took over in the years various other roles and also played lots of theater. In addition, she supported her son Danny Pintauro film, after he outed himself in 1997 as a gay. She has since been repeatedly publicly for the rights of homosexuals.
