Ryan Leslie

Anthony Ryan Leslie (September 25, 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American music producer, singer and songwriter. He is founder and president of the NextSelection lifestyle group labels and has worked with Usher, P. Diddy, Beyonce, Britney Spears.

Biography

The parents of Ryan and his sister, Joy Leslie are the American Salvation Army (Salvation Army Officers). Leslie lived as a child in many different U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Nashville, Richmond, Oakland, San Francisco and Stockton, and he should have with 14 years of change already at its fifth high school. Instead, he took part in a college admission test and was taken with a very good score. Even with 15 Ryan then attended Harvard University in Boston and was there in 1998 with 19 years of study. During this time he discovered the jazz group of the University "The Harvard The Daily" his passion for music. There he sang and learned his "vocal arrangement. Ryan even skipped school to organize concerts and talent competitions, and spent more than 30 hours per week in the local studio to build his basic knowledge.

In 2000, he met Corey Williams, for which he is the song "Never Met a Girl" produced ". So they took part in the Teen People competition, won and even landed in 2001 a contract for Williams on Motown Records (part of Universal Motown Records). In just 30 days, the duo produced an album for him. The end of 2002, the money had gone out that he earns at Motown and Ryan went bankrupt, despite his small-time jobs. He moved back in with his parents in Phoenix and they finally got the money for a 15,000-$-studio equipment.

Spurred on by his "Music Lawyer" and consultants Ed Woods occurred in the spring of 2003 a turning point: Woods gave him a 30 days contract in which he produced a few songs for Bad Boy Records. He learned to boss Sean "P. Diddy" Combs met and played him a few beats and tracks that he had produced and written in the period between 2001 and 2003 and. Combs was especially Ryan's song "Hot 2 Nite" impressed and gave him a long-term contract.

In 2004 he signed a "publishing deal" with Tommy Mottola from Universal Records.

After he returned to New York City, Harlem and moved had organized his own music production company that NextSelection Lifestyle Group, he met Cassandra Ventura, known as Cassie. With it he recorded the song "Just One Night" in his own studio now. His next song with her called "Me & You". He played for Tommy Mottola, who offered Cassie a record contract. That was in 2005, but only in the summer of 2006 he was Ryan's first No. 1 hit in the U.S..

The most-popular sizes, with whom he has worked Varun Rooprail, Usher, P. Diddy, Fabolous, Beyoncé Knowles, Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, New Edition, Mario Winans, or Cassie.

The end of 2005 appeared in Europe is hardly successful album with the singles "Just Right The Way That U Move, Girl! and Used 2 Be (feat. Fabolous).

Only in 2007 was followed the next single with Diamond Girl, which reached only # 95 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 35th in the U.S. Billboard Hot R & B / Hip-Hop. In May 2008 the single Addiction (featuring Cassie was published on the Internet), and again reached only ranked number 115 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 35th in the U.S. Billboard Hot R & B / Hip-Hop. The latest single release, entitled How It Was Supposed To Be, but so far only reached position 97 in the U.S. Billboard Hot R & B / Hip-Hop.
