Yorke) is an English singer and artist who is best known as singer of rock band Radiohead announced.
Life
Yorke was a medical orderly in a mental hospital and has studied at the University of Exeter, art, philosophy and English. In his time as a student he met his current girlfriend, with whom he has two children and currently lives in Oxford. Since its birth
Yorke\'s left eye is paralyzed. Between the first and sixth year it had to be five times had eye surgery, with the last operation was flawed.
Artistic biography
He was at the age of ten years in a band and became known as a singer in 1986 (then still called On A Friday) based band Radiohead, however, has also collaborated with other artists, including international artists such as Björk, DJ Shadow, PJ Harvey, UNKLE, and the German electronic artists Modeselektor.
Yorke is also working politically. He is a member of several organizations such as Make Poverty History, Make Trade Fair and The Big Ask.
After the release of the new Radiohead album has been postponed to 2007, the
Yorke made it to complete in 2006 the solo album The Eraser. The Eraser was produced by Radiohead\'s companion and producer Nigel Goodrich under the label XL Recordings. On The Eraser, both of
Yorke himself wrote all the pieces and - except for a few passages - even been recorded .
On 21 August 2006 appeared the first single from his album The Eraser, entitled Harrowdown Hill. On three different formats (Maxi-CD, 7 - and 12 \"vinyl) a total of three B-sides are distributed: The Drunkk Machine, jet stream and the extended version of Harrowdown Hill.
His song \"Hearing Damage\" is part of the official soundtrack of the second part of the Twilight, New Moon, which began in December 2009 in German cinemas.
